Day 01 :
NJP Rly Stn / IXB Airport – Kalimpong (About 85 kms / 3 hrs) : Meet & Greet on arrival at NJP station / IXB airport & transfer to Kalimpong – Kalimpong is a pretty hill station, with majestic Himalayas in the background and gently rolling hills around. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02 : Kalimpong – Gangtok (About 80 Kms / 3 Hrs) : After early breakfast visit Mangal Dham, Deolo Hills, Dr. Graham’s Home, Durbin Dhara Hill & Flower Nurseries back to hotel. After lunch drive to Gangtok- “The Capital City of Sikkim”. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03 :
Gangtok (Trip to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir) : Start for a half day excursion trip of Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial (13200 ft) 52 kms from Gangtok city. Tsomgo Lake freezes completely during the winter. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04 :
Gangtok sightseeing – Pelling (132 Km / 5 hrs) : Start for a half day local city tour covering Rumtek Monastery, Dro-Dul Chorten, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom, and Flower Show. After lunch drive to Pelling via Ravangla. On arrival check in to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 05 :
Pelling sightseeing : After breakfast start for local sightseeing tour covering Rimbi Falls, Khangchendzonga falls, Khachoedpalri Wish Lake, Back to hotel for lunch. After lunch visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse Ruins, Rabdantse View Point, Helipad Ground. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06 :
Pelling - Darjeeling (About 118 Kms / 4 hrs): This morning drive to Darjeeling (7,100 ft.) is one of the most magnificent Hill Resorts in the World. On arrival check-in to your hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 07 :
Darjeeling (sightseeing) : Early Morning (at 4.00 am) drive to Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular Sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga (28,208 ft. Worlds third highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-help Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), Ava Art Gallery and Japanese Temple. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 08 :
Darjeeling – NJP Rly. Stn. / IXB airport (About 90 kms / 3 hrs) : Morning Departure to NJP railway station / IXB airport for your onward journey.

About Darjeeling
Darjeeling a town in the Indian state of West Bengal, is internationally renowned for its tea industry and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the headquarters of Darjeeling district, located in the Mahabharat Range or Lesser Himalaya at an average elevation of 6,710 ft (2,050 m). Darjeeling is a part of the Eastern Himalayan zoo-geographic zone. Flora around Darjeeling comprises sal, oak, semi-evergreen, temperate and alpine forests. Dense evergreen forests of sal and oak lie around the town, where a wide variety of rare orchids are found. The Lloyd's Botanical Garden preserves common and rare species of plants, while the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park specializes in conserving and breeding endangered Himalayan species.
Ghoom Monastery - Darjeeling
Ghum (also spelt Ghoom) is a small hilly locality in the Darjeeling Himalayan hill region of West Bengal, India. Ghum railway station of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is the highest rail-station in India. It is situated at an altitude of 2,225.7 metres (7,407 ft). The place is the home of the Ghum Monastery and the Batasia Loop, a bend of the Darjeeling Himalayan railway. This monastery built in 1875 belongs to the Yellow sect of the Buddhists who worship a 15 feet (4.6 m) statue of the ‘Coming Buddha’.
Tiger Hill - Darjeeling
Tiger Hill is the summit of Ghoom, the highest railway station on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is famous for spectacular sunrise view over the Himalayas. Leveling out at 8,500 ft (2,600 m), Tiger Hill is the highest hill in the immediate surroundings. While at Tiger Hill, you can also visit Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary, which offers great picnic spots, and its two artificial lakes serve as a reservoir for supply of water to Darjeeling town.
It is 11 km from the town of Darjeeling and can be reached either by jeep or by foot through Chowrasta, Alubari (incidentally the oldest tea plantation in Darjeeling) or Jorebangla and then climbing up the incline to the summit, which takes about 2 hours on an easy pace.
The first rays of the sun shoot ahead and shed light upon the twin peaks of Kangchenjunga painting it pink and then bathing it in a beautiful orange colour. From Tiger Hill, Mount Everest (29,002') is just visible, peeping out through two other peaks standing by its side. Makalu (27,799') looks higher than Mt. Everest, owing to the curve in the horizon, as it is several miles closer than Everest. The distance in straight line from Tiger Hill to Everest is 107 miles.
Rock Garden - Darjeeling
The Rock Garden (also known as Barbotey Rock Garden) at Chunnu Summer Falls and Ganga Maya Park, near it, are recently added tourist attractions in the hilly town of Darjeeling in the state of West Bengal, India.
There is another rock garden in Darjeeling known as Sir John Anderson Rock Garden, which is part of Lloyd's Botanical Garden. It is situated about 10 kilometers (6 mi) from Darjeeling. While proceeding from the town along Hill Cart Road, one has to turn right, well before reaching Ghum. The road descends rapidly into the valley. With sharp bends all the way, there are breathtaking views at many points. Tea gardens dot the hill slopes.
Ganga Maya Park - Darjeeling
Ganga Maya Park is further down the road, about 3 kilometers (2 mi) from the Rock Garden. it meanders down the course of a chortling mountain stream, past gazebos, clumps of flowering shrubs and trees, over humped backed bridges under which koi-carp coruscate, and into a circular lake with paddle boats and a waterfall. It has a small lake where boating facilities are available Gorkha folk dances are performed to entertain the tourists.
Kanchenjunga National Park - Darjeeling
Is a national park and a Biosphere reserve located in North Sikkim district in the Indian state of Sikkim. The park gets its name from the mountain Kanchenjunga which is about 8585 metres tall. The total area of this park is about 850 km². There are many glaciers in the park including the Zemu glacier. The park was established on August 26, 1977 and was named as a Biosphere reserve. There are a few Lepcha tribal settlements inside the park. The park contains many mammal species including musk deer, snow leopard, Himalayan Tahr, wild dog, sloth bear, civet, Himalayan black bear, red panda, Tibetan wild ass, Himalayan blue sheep, serow, goral and takin, as well as reptiles including rat snake and Russell's viper.
